Important Changes Coming to Cap City Beer Fest 2026
To enhance the overall experience of Cap City Beer Fest and ensure the long-term success of the event, several important updates will take effect this year. Please note:
- Cap City Beer Fest is no longer open to the public
- All attendees must purchase a ticket to enter the event
These changes will allow us to better prioritize safety, manage attendance, improve the guest experience, and continue raising critical funds to support our lifesaving work for animals in our community.

Sampling Ticket purchase required to participate in sampling.
MUST be 21+ with ID upon festival entry to participate in beer sampling.
General Admission Sampling Ticket
GA admission starts at 2:00 pm. At check-in, you’ll receive a tasting glass and wristband that allows you to sample craft beers from all participating vendors and homebrewers while supplies last. Must be 21 with ID.

participating vendors and homebrewers while supplies last. Must be 21 with ID.
NEW THIS YEAR: VIPs will have exclusive access to the VIP tent! Under the tent, we will have an open bar , food, and comfortable seating available.
VIPs should plan to pick up their VIP badge & lanyard and souvenir bag & t-shirt PRIOR to the event. Pick up will be at CAA (2550 Gourrier Ave. Baton Rouge, LA 70820) between 12:00 and 6:00 pm on Thursday, Friday, and Saturday before the event.

FAQs
Is it just beer?
No! Aside from beer, we also have hard seltzers, mead, wine, and non-alcoholic options as well. Additionally, the event features several food vendors, retail vendors, and entertainment.
Is the event pet-friendly?
Yes, attendees are welcome to bring their pet, as long as the pet remains contained or on-leash.
Containment includes strollers, backpacks, etc. NO RETRACTABLE LEASHES ALLOWED, per CAA event policy.
Is the event family-friendly?
Yes, the event itself is open to the public! We will have non-alcoholic drinks and food available for purchase. You must be 21+ with proof of ID to purchase a ticket.
Ticket purchase is required to participate in brew sampling!

Guests are encouraged to dress in elegant, formal attire for the gala. Men are advised to wear tuxedos or dark suits with ties, while women can opt for floor-length gowns, cocktail dresses, or sophisticated evening attire. Please join us in celebrating the evening with style and sophistication. All dogs must remain leashed!
Parking & Rideshare
Garage self-parking is available. Valet parking may be available downstairs at the hotel entrance.
We are offering a $10 discount for one Lyft ride per guest, courtesy of our Safe Ride sponsor, Subaru Baton Rouge. Guests will receive more details prior to the event.
